Assault/Robbery/Dangerous Driving
Location: Corner of Vanessa Boulevard and Pacific Highway Service Road, Springwood
Date/Time: Friday, 24 October 2025, approx. 4:00pm
Details: At approximately 4:00pm, a group of offenders on mopeds reportedly assaulted and robbed a group of young boys near the corner of Vanessa Boulevard and the Pacific Highway Service Road, Springwood.
Witnesses stated the offenders aggressively charged at the boys using their mopeds before stealing one of their bicycles. The incident caused significant distress to the victims. A passing motorist who witnessed the event performed a U-turn to return to the scene. By that time, the offenders had fled. Another member of the public had already contacted police, and multiple witnesses remained on scene until officers arrived.
The witness expressed disappointment that no nearby individuals intervened to assist the children during the attack.

Knife Found by School Students
Reported Incident: Dangerous Object – Knife Located and Removed
Location: Ampol Service Station (St Peter’s School Side)
Date/Time: Tuesday, 21 October 2025, approximately 4:00pm

Details: At approximately 4:00pm this afternoon (21/10/25), an NCW Watcher was approched by two students who had located a large MTech knife lying outside the Ampol Service Station. Although this may be innocent, the knife was safely removed using gloves to ensure preservation of potential evidence in case it had been involved in any illegal activity.
The incident was reported to Queensland Police Service in accordance with NCW’s Dangerous Objects Protocol. Far too dangerous to leave sitting around.
Description of Object:
• MTech brand knife
• Large fixed blade
• Condition: Appeared to be recently discarded

Date/Time: Sat 18 Oct 2025, 4am–5:10am

Details: In the early hours, offenders in a white 2022 Mazda CX-9 (QLD Rego: 886EM3, stolen from Wishart) targeted multiple homes across Rochedale and Rochedale South.
• 4:15am Royal Crescent: Offenders caught inside property.
• 5:04am Gigas Ct: Vehicle canopy, trailer & boat broken into — tools & trade gear stolen (Milwaukee, Stihl, welders, oxygen sets).
• 5:10am Baroona St: Vehicle ransacked, no valuables taken.
Offender Description:
• 2 males, both barefoot & wearing gloves/masks
• Driver: black hoodie (white writing), dark shorts
• Passenger: grey hoodie (writing front), black shorts
